When I was a child, I lived in my imagination. I wrote short stories and dreamed up adventures where I could explore who I was, who I might become, and the kind of world I wanted to live in.

Years later, I kept thinking about that younger version of me. The child who needed a place to belong and found room for herself inside the stories she created.
